Yves TREBUTIEN

Easter 2006 - Easter 2011 : The two most important dates in the history of the International Junior Girls Tournament dedicated to Bernard BAU.

Easter 2006 : CABOURG BASKET's first international tournament played in tribute to one of the club's directors who is no longer with us. The impeccable organisation of this first edition ensured the event was a great succes. One noteworthy point is the participation of two clubs that have remained faithful ever since, Spa (BELGIUM), and Jelgava (LATVIA).

Easter 2011 : This great achivement rewards the untiring efforts of Eric MARTIN and his team of volunteers who have succeeded in managing the transition from 8 to 12 teams representing 8 European Nations.

This evolution adds a further dimension to the event and has deeply changed the organiser's strategy in the management  of this new group.

This success revitalise the event by bringing together teams from Central Europe (HUNGARY and SLOVAKIA) for a weekend and places it amongst the top ranked tournaments at national level.

Without any doubt the Closing Ceremony will be replete with emotion and friendship for all the young Europeans who participate.

I wish a very warm welcome to you all.
